Notification Feature: How it Works

If someone sent you a message on Facebook, for instance, you will get a notification, right? At least that way you won't have to worry about missing any messages.

Wouldn't it be cool if TrackMage had a notification feature that helped you keep track of things? The good news is, TrackMage indeed has a functional notification feature.

In this article, you will get to learn how the notification feature works, and how you can use it. So stay tuned.


How the Notification Feature Works

Let's say you have a tracking sheet that contains a huge parcel - for example, 10,000 parcels - and you would like to import it into TrackMage. It will take the system quite some time to process the import request.  

During the import process, you might want to attend to other businesses, and so wouldn't want to wait on the system. No worries, as soon as the import is completed, you will get a notification. Here's how the notification will appear



Viewing and Filtering Notifications


Over time, the number of notifications in your workspace will build up. This may make finding a specific notification quite a task. But not to worry, there's a workaround.

The first thing you will want to do is to open the notifications page. There, you will see all your notification starting from the very first one.

So begin by clicking the bell icon. 


 Next, click View All Notifications



And there you have it, the notifications page!


On this page, you can filter out the particular notification you are looking for.

For example, if you wanted to filter out a notification that has the "originCarrier" keyword in its message, simply click the filter icon next to Message


Then type in the keyword in the text field.


To filter out a notification by date, click the filter icon to Date. Then select the particular date you are looking for.


That's the way to use the filter feature. Works in the same way if you were to use "Tag" as the filtering criteria. All you need to do is to select a particular filtering tag of your choice. This could be the Import, Download, Error, etc. tags
